"R" - A to Z Challenge - Walt Disney World

"R" will be a bit weird, but bare with me!

Reedy Creek Fire Department - OK, I know what you're thinking...is Keebs back on the meds again? But honestly, it's one of my favorite buildings on property! WDW has it's own emergency services as well as it's own power grid and management system, they are pretty much their own entity (which was the idea), but the name of the management system is the Reedy Creek Improvement District, named after a creek that runs through the property. So, most of their management branches are called Reedy Creek. But the fire station is an amazing building! It comprises everything that Disney World is made of! It's fun and childlike, but don't get me wrong, it's a very serious place and a very real fire station! It's really hard to get a picture of it from a moving bus, but you typically pass it on the way to Downtown Disney.

Raglan Road - One of our favorite restaurants!  It's located at Downtown Disney and is pretty easy to get into (for a Disney restaurant). It has your standard Irish pub fare (in a higher quality, of course) as well as dancing and singing after 9 pm (most of the artist's CD's you can buy on property). They also have a counter service restaurant outside and a pretty cute gift shop (no shock there...it is Disney after all). But the best thing about Raglan Road is the bread pudding! It was the absolute best I've ever had in my life!! But, without further ado, how about some pics!

Then we have Rainforest Cafe - there are two of these on property, one at the entrance of Animal Kingdom and the other is at Downtown Disney. The food is OK, but the atmosphere is out of this world!! Every thirty minutes, there is a thunderstorm and all the audioanimatronic animals wake up and go nuts! It's great!! They also have an amazing gift shop and you can get a Rainforest Cafe card that gives you priority seating and 10% off of merchandise (and food as well if you get a nice cast member).

And that's it for "R"!

I know its early in the morning, but I could use a Black and Tan right now. And some bread pudding, which, incidentally, is still good for breakfast the next day. One other thing, in honor of my sister...BANGERS AND MASH!!!BANGERS AND MASH!!!
